They’re beside their charges every day and night, rain or shine, ice storm or sizzling 108-degree days. They’re smart (almost all are college grads in zoology or biology). They’re big-hearted. They deal with guests as well as animals, sharing their knowledge to connect people to wildlife. It’s a physically challenging job, but also requires creativity and innovation, because sometimes there aren’t simple answers to our unique issues.
