The Belgian talent Distanz can be considered as very talented. Glad to have him on board for an EP on Atmosphere Records. Best to describe it as melancholic minimal, techno & deep house! Producing electronic music, with our without a computer… That’s the question? Distanz decided to ban the computer out of his studio and experiment with different kinds of hardware. He taught himself all the tricks of the well-known synths and machines from Elektron and made sure he specialized in it. Since then, his live videos on Youtube got picked up more and more by for example Stephan Bodzin, Elektron, ... Jungfrau: Just like mountains covered in snow, Jungfrau starts with a gentle piano sample on top which makes the track feel harmless at first sight, but … it's not! Underneath there's an aggressive bassline and clap which reveals it's true nature. The track is entirely made with Elektron machines and has been recorded directly from their outputs.
